Alan “Woody” Wood
Alan burst onto the scene in 1976 while collaborating with Simon and Garfunkel in co-writing “50 ways to leave your lover”. Later attempts proved that he was not just a one hit wonder while ironically hitting again in a collaboration with Peaches and Herb titled “Reunited”. His connections in Hollywood landed him the role of the Scarecrow in the Wiz where he met co-creator of the Ugly Disco, Mike Donoghue. It would be years before they collaborated to start the disco but in the meantime Alan made ends meet by working as a Ziggy Stardust impersonator. Alan now makes his living as a Real Estate Broker and is easily recognized by his clever slogan “Got Wood?” Inside sources believe the slogan is a reference to a costume malfunction while playing the part of Stardust.
Mike “Pimp Daddy” Donoghue
Mike worked briefly in Hollywood as a choreographer on Saturday Night Fever and The Wiz after tumultuous life as an inventor and entrepreneur. His rise and fall were later chronicled in full length feature film starring Steve Martin in 1979 titled The Jerk. Reluctant to return to the scrutiny of tinsel town Mike settled in Rochester and quenches his theatrical appetite by judging The Miss Gay Rochester Pageant. For work Mike is the President of Regional mortgage banking firm and given the current state of the current mortgage market Hollywood has come calling to do a sequel; The Jerk II
Kevin “Big Daddy” Deasey
Kevin was the creative consultant for McDonalds in the early seventies when he created the character the Hamburglar. A brief stint in the late 80’s had Kevin going to hollywood for a small role in the movie Office Space. Locked into protracted legal dispute with McDonalds he cut ties with the restaurant chain in favor of a career in the office support business. Kevin briefly returned to hollywood as a creative consultant for the movie Death to Smoochy. The movie was panned by critics and audiences alike and most likely ends Kevins theatrical career but his love of Hamburgers continues.
Alan Lagonegro
Not much is known about Logonegro other than the fact that he played the Part of Father Guido Sarducci on Saturday Night Live for several seasons. Many believe that his role is not just a character but he may actually have been a priest but left the priesthood to marry his wife Zena (no, not the warrior princess). “Little Al” as he is often called is a founding member of the Disco and a member of Ten Ugly Men for obvious reasons. Clearly the brains of Disco, Little Al keeps the rest of the members from getting into trouble.
Frank D. Geier
2009 President
Like many of the members Frank has been successful in both music and screen. First with a successful solo song you may have heard called “Kung Foo Fighting”. Frank was unable to duplicate his musical success and turned to movies to quench his creative thirst. Frank wrote and directed Smokey and the Bandit which was the second highest grossing film of 1977, coming in second to Star Wars. When asked about the inspiration for the movie Frank hinted that it may be based on a true story but details are vague at best. His next move was to the small screen where he was a creative consultant for “The Dukes of Hazard”. In addition to creative consultant he had a small reoccurring role as Cooter Davenport. Frank returned to Rochester to start a family and has been spotted at Daisy Dukes dressed in “Cooter Davenport” wardrobe. While a connection to Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) has never been made many sources close to her believe that he broke off a long courtship after discovering her with James Best (Roscoe P Coltrane).
Mark Gunther
Mark is best known as the inspiration for Saturday Night Fever, growing up in Brooklyn and working as a paint store clerk his dreams were realized when he entered a dance contest and won. Tapped by Paramount Pictures to be the creative consultant for the film Mark used the money to enroll in college and currently works as an attorney. Hollywood came calling for a sequel and Mark declined however production of “Staying Alive”proceeded without Mark and the result was disasterous for Paramount at the box office. Mark has led a very private life but keeps a close relationship to the Gibb family
John Cook
After a reoccurring role on The Partridge Family producers decided there was room for only one heartthrob and cut john in favor of Danny Bonaduce. It was widely rummorred that the departure of Cook was a result of love triangle between Shirley Jones (Shirley Partridge) and Dave Madden (Reuben Kincaid). John returned from Hollywood to Rochester NY where he divides his time between various charity causes and cougar hunting. He and Danny remain close to this day.
Dave Giromini
Hailing from Syracuse NY and going by the nickname “Dago”, Dave started his show biz career as an exotic dancer, billed as “Mini Me” his career was “short” lived. unlike many members of the adult entertainment community he made the transition to mainstream in the made for TV movie the “Mary Kay Letourneau Story”. Dave played the part of Mary Kay’s love interest and the role left him typecast. As often happens life imitates art and Dave spends his free time as a wing man for other Ugly Disco member John Cook as a cougar hunter.
Liz Wilson
Liz’s love of disco started when she took a role in the movie Boogie Nights as “Roller Girl”. While her career in showbiz was short it was a path to the Ugly Disco. While working on the set of Boogie Nights Liz started a short lived romance with Burt Reynolds. During there time together Liz met Ugly Disco member Frank Geier at a “Smokey and the Bandit” reunion party. While the relationship with Reynolds ended Liz and Frank remained friends eventually colaborating on the Ugly Disco. Currently she keeps herself busy bartending at Hot Shots. Sources close to Liz say she has been in talks with Paramount to star in the upcoming big screen adaption of “The Love Boat” where she will play the part of “Julie” the cruise director.
Craig Bruno
As President (and only member) of the Lief Garrett fan club, Craig is true disco enthusiast. When he is not honing his disco skills he is pitching his idea for a TV show to television producers. Part Crocodile Hunter part Rock of Love it is called “The Cougar Hunter” and is loosely based on the antics of Disco members Giormini and Cook. Bruno is single but is believed to be involved with Tila Tequila. I personally find that hard to believe considering he was a creative consultant for “The Forty Year Old Virgin”
Famous Quote;
“I’m not gay, I’m celibate”
Line from Forty Year old Virgin:
All you got to do is use your instincts. How do you think a lion knows to tackle a gazelle? It’s written, it’s a code written in his DNA, says, “tackle the gazelle.” And believe it or not, in every man there’s a code written that says, “tackle drunk bitches.”
Stephanie Miller
Stephanie is a behind the scenes kind of girl and is known to members of the disco as the “Design Diva” as a result of her tireless work as the lead graphic designer for everything that is Ugly Disco. That does not mean she has no connection to show business. In 2001 a screen adaptation of her life won critical acclaim and has a bit of a cult following. As the subject matter of “Bridgette Jone’s Diary” Stephanie is best known for her quote, “It is a truth universally acknowledged that when one part of your life starts going okay, another falls spectacularly to pieces.”
While Stephanie is currently single she has been romantically linked to Vince Vaughn, George Clooney and Anne Heche. There are rumours of a secret sex tape with Heche but nothing has surfaced, most people dismiss it as urban legend but we can still hope. She fills her spare time by scrapbooking current photos of Scott Baio and photo shopping herself into romantic poses with him. Her secret guilty pleasure is watching “A Very Brady Wedding”. If you are looking for a path to her heart, the shortcut is through a garbage plate.

Shawn Roberts
Shawn got his Disco start as dancer on the movie Saturday Night Fever. Disagreements with the director found Shawn removed from the set days after shooting started, however the director salvaged some of the footage. If you watch carefully you will notice most of the dancing performed by the Travolta character is actually Shawn. Branded by Hollywood directors as a trouble maker Shawn quickly transitioned to “live art” by securing a role in the Broadway rendition of Taxi Driver. Critics praised his performance but run was short and torpedoed any chances Shawn had at a theatrical comeback. It was in the early 90’s when Shawn would partner up Disco member Alan Wood to portray Sony and Cher in The Miss Gay Rochester Pageant. While they lost the pageant the won the admiration of pageant judge and Disco member Donoghue. Shawn makes a living as a sales consultant for Holtz automotive and spends his free time sewing costumes for other young aspiring dancers.
Tim Ferge
Jim Ledsome
As the President and the oldest member of the Ugly Disco committee, Jim saved his original polyester leisure suit just for the disco. Unfortunately while watching the Fonz, Laverne and Shirley (not the reruns) It didn’t fit! But while shopping at the Salvation army he found a suit in the larger men’s isle. Jim developed the need for disco, while he was at the opening nights for several local bars in the 70’s, The Other Side of the Tracks, Winfield, Freight Station and Chekos. When he’s not dancing to the disco inferno, Jim is a Realtor for Remax plus.
